Man’s body found in Yolo Bypass

An investigation is underway to identify a man whose body was discovered Friday morning floating in the Yolo Bypass.

Lt. Lance Faille said the adult male’s body was spotted at about 10 a.m. by a motorist driving southbound on Interstate 5 on the Yolo Causeway. California Highway Patrol officers and Yolo County coroner’s officials responded to recover the body.

Faille said it was unclear how long the body had been in the bypass. An autopsy is planned for this week to determine the man’s cause of death, although Faille said there were no obvious signs of foul play.
