A portion of the Research Park Drive area was shut down to traffic for several hours Wednesday while PG&E crews repaired a natural-gas leak.
According to the Davis Fire Department, someone reported a natural gas smell at about 9:30 a.m. in the area of Research Park Drive and Cowell Boulevard. PG&E crews responded to the scene and discovered the broken gas main.
Several surrounding roads were closed during the repair process, and fire crews staged at the scene until about 1:30 p.m. No evacuations or injuries were reported.
