Davis police arrested a Woodland man in connection with workplace robbery that left the victim hospitalized.
Lt. Tom Waltz said 24-year-old Michael Allen Johnson entered the Krush Burger restaurant in The Marketplace shopping center shortly after 5 p.m. Tuesday and confronted the manager. A physical altercation ensued, during which the manager suffered injuries to his head and face.
The suspect — identified by witnesses as a former employee — took money from the business and fled but was arrested by detectives at his home Thursday, Waltz said. The manager was transported to the UC Davis Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.
Johnson faces robbery, assault and battery charges, Waltz said.
