Eight people were displaced from their Woodland home, which was damaged in a structure fire Thursday morning, according to the Woodland Fire Department.
Battalion Chief Greg Robinson said the fire was reported at 7:13 a.m. at the home in the 1300 block of Antoinette Way. The initial crew on scene reported finding a fully involved fire, with smoke and flames coming from the single-story house.
A total of 16 fire personnel worked to extinguish the fire, the cause of which remains under investigation, Robinson said. It appeared to have started near the front of the home, in a kitchen/family room area.
The residents, all of whom escaped prior to firefighters’ arrival, are receiving aid from the American Red Cross, Robinson said.
