A UC Davis student found himself in Yolo County Jail custody this week after two law-enforcement agencies arrested him for allegedly stalking and assaulting an ex-girlfriend.
“There were multiple incidents on campus and in the city,” Davis police Lt. Tom Waltz said of the alleged acts involving the suspect, identified as 19-year-old Lianqiang Zhang.
UCD police arrested Zhang on the East Quad on suspicion of stalking the woman, spokesman Andy Fell said. Davis police also are pursuing assault and false imprisonment charges for incidents that occurred in the 1400 block of Lake Boulevard, according to Waltz.
