Davis police arrested a 49-year-old man in connection with a domestic violence incident that left the victim hospitalized, police said.
Deputy Police Chief David Delaini said officers were summoned at about 12:30 a.m. Thursday to reports of a physical altercation at the Econo Lodge, 221 D St., where suspect Mark Crawford and the female victim were still on scene.
“The female victim had substantial injuries to her head, neck, arms, hands and legs,” Delaini said. “The victim reported that she lost consciousness twice and Crawford would not allow her to leave the room.”
Crawford was arrested on various assault charges and booked into the Yolo County Jail, while the woman was transported to the UC Davis Medical Center for treatment of her injuries, Delaini said.
