The UC Davis Police Department issued a crime alert this week about a suspicious incident that occurred in the city of Davis.
A female student was waiting for a Unitrans bus in the 3000 block of Lillard Drive at about 6:30 p.m. Monday when a vehicle pulled over as if to park. At that point, a man with an East Indian accent rolled down the front passenger window and demanded twice that the student “get in the car.” The vehicle left when the student walked away and pulled out her cell phone.
The man was described as being tall and skinny, with a dark complexion, short dark hair and a mustache. He wore a dark-colored sweater. The vehicle was a red or maroon four-door sport-utility vehicle, possibly a Honda CR-V.
