Yolo County sheriff’s detectives have arrested a Walnut Grove man in connection with the murder of a Sacramento resident whose body was found near a Clarksburg-area slough last week.
Jorge Garcia, 22, was taken into custody after investigators served a search warrant at a residence in the 4500 block of East Ryer Road in Walnut Grove on Tuesday, Sgt. Matt Davis reported Thursday.
Garcia is accused of killing Andrew Phaouthoum, 21, whose body was discovered by a fisherman near Jefferson Boulevard and Courtland Road. He had died of a gunshot wound to the head.
The investigation is ongoing and detectives are still looking into the possible motive, Davis said.
