A woman was robbed at gunpoint in Woodland on Friday afternoon, and police are now looking for the two suspects who allegedly stole her vehicle and a reported $20,000 in cash.

The 22-year-old Woodland resident was in the parking lot of Purity Plaza around 4:32 p.m. She was leaving work with a deposit and got into her gold 2001 Chevy Malibu. As she drove through an alley, a man in a gray hoodie blocked her path.

“She stops in the middle of the alley because she can’t get past him,” Woodland Police Sgt. Jason Brooks told the Daily Democrat. “She is approached on the driver’s side by a black male with a black ski mask and a gray hoodie.”

The suspect tapped on the glass with a black handgun he was holding, Brooks said, and proceeded to demand money and tell her to get out of the car.

The two men got in the car and headed northbound through the alleyway — eventually turning onto Court Street in an unspecified direction.

The $20,000 deposit remains unconfirmed by Woodland police. Her car was described as having a spoiler on the back and the license plate number is 4RZC571.

Woodland police are still actively investigating the crime and are encouraging anyone with information pertinent to contact their dispatch at 530-666-2411.
